How To Build A Patio Chair Out Of Wood

Building a patio chair out of wood is a great way to add some extra seating to your outdoor space. It's a relatively easy project that can be completed in a few hours, and it's a great way to save money on outdoor furniture.

2x4s (8)

Cut the 1x6s to a length of 18 inches. Attach the 1x6s to the back of the frame, using wood screws and wood glue. Make sure that the 1x6s are evenly spaced and flush with the top and bottom of the frame.

Step 5: Sand the chair

Once the chair is assembled, sand it down to remove any rough edges or splinters. You can use a sanding block or sandpaper by hand.

Step 6: Paint or stain the chair (optional)

If you want to paint or stain the chair, now is the time to do it. Allow the paint or stain to dry completely before using the chair.
